Description

MicroChem Kit 2nd Edition

The MicroChem Kit 2nd Edition provides instruction at a college-preparatory level. It is intended as the laboratory component of a chemistry course and works well with any quality chemistry curriculum.

Additionally, to better assist our homeschool customers, the labs are designed to coordinate with:
    • A Beka CHEMISTRY Precision & Design
    • ACE Ministries School of Tomorrow Chemistry Series
    • Alpha Omega Publications, Science Grade 11, Chemistry
    • Apologia (Wile) Exploring Creation with Chemistry
    • BJU Press, CHEMISTRY for Christian Schools
    • Glencoe Science, Chemistry: Matter and Change

With our new kits we are making it easier for schools. We now have more experiments so you can easily cover all required topics. We have also separated the answer keys and are making it available to the teachers and optionally included inside the kits .

Yes you can set up an affordable hands-on lab for your chemistry students even if they study at home! Based on the Microscale method, the new MicroChem Kit 2nd Edition offers a complete lab with virtually everything necessary to perform basic lab experiments. There is no need for fume hoods and other costly safety equipment. Disposal of waste products is not a problem because of the low quantities of actual chemical used (about 1/100th of the chemicals a typical lab would consume). The chemical reagents are ready to use and require no mixing or further preparation.

Designed for independent study, distance learning and classrooms, the MicroChem Kit offers a virtually fail-safe method for including labs in your curriculum.

The MicroChem Kit Standard 2nd Edition includes a 200 page MicroChem Kit Manual 2nd Edition which explains each experiment covering the following:
- Goals
The goals section outlines the major learning areas of the experiment.
- Background
The background would be equivalent to a short lecture on the theory of the experiment.
- Materials and Equipment
Get the equipment out of the kit and you are good to go. Any items not included in the kit like ice, sugar, hot water, etc. are also mentioned in this area, as well as at the beginning of each experiment.
- Procedure
Just follow the step by step procedure to do the experiment. Instructions are clearly explained making it easy for students, homeschool parents, and teachers/instructors.
- Results
Students answer questions in the results area. This gives students a better understanding as well as a record of their completion.

The MicroChem Kit 2nd Edition contains sufficient materials to perform every experiment up to five times with all that's needed except a few commonly available items. It is intended as full year of labs designed to make teaching and preparation very convenient for the instructor. Use with adult supervision. For ages 14 and up.
